YBC ACCREDITED WITH R2V3 CERTIFICATION

R2v3 is a certification standard for electronics recycling and reuse. It was developed by Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI), a non-profit organization that aims to promote responsible electronics recycling and reuse practices.

To become R2v3 certified, an organization must undergo a rigorous audit conducted by an accredited third-party certification body. The audit verifies that the organization adheres to industry best practices for data security, sanitization, and electronics sustainability as established in the R2v3 standard.

The certification process is not easy, but it is achievable with the right resources and commitment. The difficulty of obtaining an R2v3 certificate depends on the organization’s existing practices and how well they align with the R2v3 standard. The certification process can take several months to complete and the organization must be willing to make changes to their existing practices to meet the R2v3 standard.

Year-on-year YBC goes through the rigorous R2v3 audit and this year YBC has once again been awarded this standard of computer recycling and reuse excellence.
